Fees Guidance - Full Time Courses
Herefordshire and Ludlow College believes in giving everyone equal opportunities to study further education. However, with regard to course costs, some courses attract different levels of government funding based on the learner’s age and level, which means the College is obliged pass on different levels of fees to students.
Are you aged between 16 and 18 years?
For students who enrol on their further education full-time course before their 19th birthday there are no tuition or examination fees. Some courses may charge fees to cover materials, equipment, specialist clothing, etc.
Are you aged over 19 years?
If you are aged over 19 or over at the start of your course then tuition fees will vary. As everyone has individual circumstances then the best way to work out the fees relevant to you is to call and speak to our Enquiries Team on 0800 032 1986 who can advise you accordingly. It will also be helpful for you to read through the following information on this page regarding ‘Fee Reductions for Adults’, ‘Financial Assistance’ and the ‘19+ Advanced Learner Loan’.
Advanced Learner Loans

Adults over 19 years old undertaking partial qualifications at Level 3 or above will not be eligible for loans but will have to pay the higher tuition fee.

Fee Reductions for Adults
Students who qualify for reduced fee Level 2 / 3 courses (See Fee Reductions for Adults) are exempt from paying tuition fees and examination fees. Students may still have to pay material/equipment costs, but these are dependant upon the course being studied.
