College Scores High in National League Table
Herefordshire & Ludlow College has been listed in the top 6% nationally for learner satisfaction. The survey, formulated from publicly available data published by the government, included 202 further education colleges in England and was listed in FE Week, the leading newspaper for further education colleges.
The College was one of only 15 to score full marks for learner satisfaction and was only four points short of topping the league table. The College’s Principal, Ian Peake commented, "I am absolutely delighted that our students have such a positive view of their College - this is a direct result of the excellence of our teaching and support staff, management and governance."
Over 1,900 students responded to this survey, with their views being fed back to further improve provision. In addition, the Learner Voice Strategy includes course-elected representatives who nominate a Student Governor to be part of the College’s Board of Governors.
Student Governor and Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT student, Hamish Robson added, “I think it is great that my fellow students feel so happy and comfortable in their college. It's amazing how much effort the teachers and student support workers put in. It is brilliant to see so many students who are enjoying their subjects and also to know that we all have someone we can talk to and trust if there is something wrong.”
