Green Cow Kitchens has been operating for 6 years and has established itself as a leading player on the fine dining food and drink scene in Herefordshire. The core proposition is a set 7-course tasting menu served on Friday and Saturday evenings to only 30 covers. The owners are in the middle of constructing a significant new £3m development adjacent to Green Cow which will enable the business to host larger events whilst still maintaining a focus on the small volume tasting menu proposition.
During June 2019, a new state of the art commercial kitchen is being installed and the main development will be complete by October 2019. At this time, the scope of service will expand greatly to encompass breakfast and lunch service, as well as event catering.
The apprenticeship advertised represents a fantastic opportunity to part of the start of an exciting journey for the business and full training and support will be provided, including 1:1 mentoring from a Michelin starred consultant chef who works in the business for 1 day per week. The role will be varied and include butchery and knife skills and adding value to foods in innovative ways (for example with our in house smoke house).
