Apprenticeship Details

We are looking for apprentices who will learn all practical aspects of sheet metal fabrication including welding, metal finishing, polishing, drilling, cutting: Painting and Assembly: Key duties will also include

• Learning to weld –Steel fabrication.
• Developing general sheet metal fabrication skills
• Understanding and working from engineering drawings
• General workshop duties and assisting the other fabricators as required
• Assisting in Painting
• Final Assembly

We are ideally looking for a recent college leaver who is keen to learn 18 years of age plus due to Machinery that you will be trained on. Previous metalwork experience is not required as full training will be provided and linked with a local college. This will be provided through the apprenticeship programme where you will be working towards a recognised qualification. In addition, you will be working alongside highly skilled metalworkers to gain real workshop experience.

Qualifications Required
Must meet college entry requirement: GCSE Grade D in Maths/English and or be able to achieve Functional Skills at Level 1, or equivalent.

Own Transport essential due to Rural Location.
