Apprenticeship Details

West Mercian Lifting has a great opportunity for the right candidate as their Customer Service & Administrator Apprentice.  They are an established family run business who specialise in lifting equipment sales, service, inspection, testing and repairs.

Initial Roles and responsibilities:  Will include answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries, providing quotations and the supply of lifting equipment. They are ready to progress their website, online sales and e-commerce and need someone to take ownership with design, pricing, information and technical specs. This in turn will lead to managing of stock control, organisation and producing certificates using their bespoke software. There may be opportunity for other engineering qualifications for the right candidate.

Skills required:

  • Good communication skills
  • Computer Literate, with Outlook email, Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Technically minded and good at solving problems
  • Working within a team and capable of working on their own 

Personal Qualities:

  • Good sense of humour
  • Polite, enthusiastic
  • Hardworking with a genuine desire to learn and to build a career within the engineering industry

There maybe some heavy lifting required, Including unloading deliveries.

To start as soon as possible

Qualifications required : GCSE Maths and English grade 3 (grade D) and above or Functional Skills Level 1 or above. If you have a GSCE grade 3 (D) or FS L1, You will have to undertake a short period of training and attempt your Level 2 in both Maths and English during your apprenticeship.
