Apprenticeship Details

Wellington Home and Gardens is an independent family owned garden centre with a difference. Blending architectural salvage with plants, gifts and interiors, there is also a highly regarded cafe on site where their enthusiastic chefs produce delicious homemade food of exceptional quality. 

The role:

• You will learn to cook delicious food and present it in an innovative and appealing way
• You will work with a close-knit team
• You will keep your area clean and organised
• You will be involved in team meetings and expected to contribute

Desired skills:

• Team player who is inspired by working alongside creative colleagues
• Excellent communication skills
• Great organisational skills

Desired personal qualities:

• Genuine passion and enthusiasm for cooking
• Someone who is inspired by a fresh food ethos
• Creative ideas for menus

Desired qualifications:

• GCSE Grade 3 or above in English and Maths or Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Maths

Future prospects?

• A full time position is likely to be offered on completion of your apprenticeship

Reality check:

• Out of town location so please ensure that you can attend in a safe and timely manner. There is no evening work but you will be expected to work at least one weekend day on a regular basis.
