Sound/Music Technology Courses

Courses will be of interest to both school leavers and mature students who are interested in audio engineering and music production, and for those who would like to prepare for a higher education qualification in this exciting field.
The creative industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK economy. Our courses take an in-depth look at audio Industry-related vocations. Careers include: studio engineers, either recording, mixing or mastering music, live sound engineers, broadcast engineers, sound technicians, etc. Work might involve live sound reinforcement, studio and location recording, production and post-production processing of music and audio for a wide range of applications including: distribution, broadcast, multimedia, film, animation and computer games. Students also come away with many transferable skills enabling them to enter in to alternative careers such as teaching or lecturing.
With a long standing reputation in this field, HLC has extensively equipped facilities featuring four project control rooms, a Mac room based around Apple Mac and Logic DAW, one master control room based around the Audient ASP8024 with DLC mixing console and two purpose built live rooms. Students also benefit from the extensive experience and expertise of leading staff - who are longstanding industry professionals.
