“Initially I wanted to join the Navy and decided that the Level 3 Public Services course would be a good fit for me. Rather than studying A Levels in a classroom, I wanted to be active and I was drawn to the outdoor nature of the course.

I went to an Open Event at the College and after seeing how dynamic the course was, I knew it would be right for my learning style. The outdoor elements are my favourite part and at the same time as studying, I can have fun experiences with my friends such as climbing, caving, kayaking and more. I love the fact that I can gain a qualification at the same time as doing something I enjoy so much. I would 100% recommend the course to anyone who loves the outdoors and leads an active lifestyle.

I have recently been awarded an unconditional offer and scholarship at the University of Central Lancashire, to study Outdoor Adventure Leadership BA (Hons). I am looking forward to taking the transferable skills I have learnt at college through to my higher education study and future career.”
