Casey Lewis

“I chose to study the Level 3 Business course as I prefer to complete assignments and projects rather than sitting a lot of exams, which I would have done if I had studied A Levels. I feel that only having a few exams can take some of the stress away from studying. I previously completed the Level 2 Health & Social Care course at the Ludlow campus [Ludlow College] and then started A Levels at another sixth-form college, however decided they weren’t right for my learning style.

After completing my college course I plan to find an apprenticeship, as this will provide me with the chance to work towards a qualification whilst earning a salary. At the moment I’ve been particularly interested in dental nurse opportunities around my area, and in preparation for this I have been working on my transferable skills and have made my CV ready.

I enjoy studying at the College and my tutors are all really helpful. I have built great relationships with the tutors and the class sizes are good. Everyone is so friendly, we all get on well. The highlight of the course for me was creating my own business idea, where I created a product idea to present in a ‘Dragons Den’ style pitch. The board I presented to asked me questions and I really enjoyed the project.

I would definitely recommend the course to friends and to anyone who is interested in learning about business, as this is a great qualification to have and a great place to study!”
