When at Herefordshire & Ludlow College, I studied Level 3 Travel & Tourism. I chose this course as I studied Travel & Tourism in high school and really enjoyed it, I also got a really good grade in it. I have grown up going on holiday a lot with my family, and it’s made me really enjoy going to new locations; so that was another reason why I chose this course.
I chose HLC as my place of study, as I knew people who had studied there previously – they all said how much they enjoyed it and that they felt really supported by the tutors. I also agree with this, both my tutors supported me massively throughout my course, and my class felt more like a massive family.
Over the two years we went on trips to Los Angeles, New York and Portugal; which created so many amazing memories, whilst also gaining experience of the travel industry.
Now that I have left HLC, I plan on taking a break from studying and I am going to work until I figure out the career path I want to take; this is largely down to the current situation (COVID-19), as there are minimal opportunities within the travel industry as it currently stands.
I would definitely recommend this course and the College to people I know! The course is fun, I have made friends for life and have made so many amazing memories. Also, all the staff I have come into contact with, from my tutors to the directed studies staff, are so helpful.
