“I’m currently studying the Level 2 Music Technology course at Herefordshire & Ludlow College. I chose to study here because the music courses seemed like one of the best from the colleges I was looking at; also I don’t live far so the commute is easy. My favourite thing about the course is definitely the practical work where I get to record music; this can really help me with ideas when it comes to actually making songs.

I have recently had my tracks played twice on BBC Introducing and Flex FM; which is a great achievement of mine. With BBC Introducing you have to upload your songs onto their website, which I did and within minutes I had a reply saying that they had listened to it; however, this didn’t mean it would be aired but I thought that was a good start. Then one evening I checked my emails and found out that my track had been played. My new song ‘Insomnia’ and another one of mine called ‘My Time’ were played on Flex FM on two consecutive weeks. All my songs are on my YouTube channel JJ Music, and I also have put some of my songs out on other streaming services.

My plans going forward is to keep going with music until something comes of it, I am so focussed on this, and all I want to do is make it and show the world what I’ve got.”
