Tom Maflin

"I am currently studying the Level 3 Music Technology course at Herefordshire & Ludlow College – I have always wanted to do music production and HLC offered the perfect course for that. My favourite thing about the course is the studio work and working on projects; it gives you a good sense of how working in that environment is, as well as learning to use all the equipment provided.

The name I go by is ‘ProdByTom’ and I mainly produce Trap and Drill music. I have also mixed songs for people and have worked with JJ Denny, who is on the Level 2 course here at HLC – his song has recently been played on the radio. I am currently in the process of being signed by Mulli World ENT; this came about because my friend, who goes to the College too, noticed me and suggested me to his brother - who is involved with Mulli World ENT.

I have been putting my beats out every day since the start of the year, and this has meant I have sold more of my music which is great. Not to mention I have a lot of collaborations on the way, and I will be working on getting some placements for my beats and music I produce.

Once I finish my course, I hope to go on to become a professional music producer, continue making beats, hopefully work with other producers and getting some big placements."
