Will Hince

“I completed the Cert HE in Health & Social Care after not quite having enough previous qualifications to study the Paramedic Science BSc course with the University of Worcester straight away. I am really pleased I chose this course, not only has it given me enough academic credit to embark with my desired studies, but it has also equipped me with lots of knowledge about the health and social care sector and has given me essential study skills (including academic writing) which will help with my future studies.

The uniqueness of this course allowed me to work full-time whilst using my workplace as a placement. The course tutors are friendly and approachable, they understand other commitments that students have, such as working and children. There are several study skill sessions throughout the year which have really helped me, as well as regular personal academic tutorials. I cannot recommend this course enough for anybody who perhaps does not have enough/ any qualifications behind them to go into their desired career in nursing, midwifery, the ambulance service, or social care, or for those want a year to prepare themselves for studying a full degree. My tutor and the team are always quick to respond to queries and provide lots of resources to help our learning. My advice for anyone considering this course is to speak to one of the other tutors, they are always happy to give advice and will support you throughout the year. Thanks to this course, and the experience I have in my workplace, I have now received an offer for my 1st choice of university to study for the career I have always wanted.”
