- Welcome and introduction
- Core gas safety competencies
- Gas safety legislation
- Gas emergency actions and procedures
- Characteristics of combustion
- Ventilation
- Installation of pipework and fittings
- Test for tightness
- Checking and/ or setting meter regulations
- Identification of unsafe situations
- The operation and checking of gas safety devices and controls
- Emergency notices and warning labels
- The operation and checking of gas safety devices and controls
- Medium pressure meters
- Flueing and ventilation standards
- Installation of open, balanced and fan assisted flues
- Flue testing
- Re-establishing the gas supply and re-lighting appliances
- Formal assessment and examination
Entry Requirements
You must hold a recognised gas qualification (such as Gas foundation) or, if already a gas engineer, a previous ACS CCN1 certificate. You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to attend the programme and a willingness to study theoretical and practical components of the programme.
