Introduction to TIG Welding
This practical course is a refresher or an introduction to TIG welding designed for candidates who are beginners or need to weld for hobby purposes . Trainees progress at their own pace to develop a range of welding skills.
Course Content
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Produce welded joints in Tungsten Inert Gas shielded welding (T.I.G.) to BS4872 Standard
- Identify weld defects in welded joint projects
Progression:
Trainees progress at their own pace so can move on to the next scheduled course and continue to develop their skills or could join the Professional Welding course to further progress and gain a City and Guilds 3268 Level 1 or Level 2 Award in Welding.
Please note, students will need the following safety equipment:
- Suitable boots
- Hardwearing clothes
- Earplugs or defenders are also recommended
