Introduction to Reptile Keeping
This course is designed for those who are interested in keeping reptiles as pets or for those who already keep reptiles and would like to update their knowledge and understanding.
This course is delivered by Dave Howard, with 30 years’ experience of keeping and breeding reptiles, owner of the successful specialist reptile shop, Rainforest Exotics, and co-owner of Roaming Reptiles offering educational animal encounters to parties and schools.
During this course Dave will take you through the up-to-date methods of keeping reptiles ensuring that the best possible conditions are provided in order to meet their welfare needs. Candidates will have the opportunity to view a range of equipment available, experience how to set up an accommodation and also to handle a range of reptile species from both the College’s and Dave’s personal collection.

On successful completion of the course, candidates will be awarded with a College Certificate of Attendance.
Candidates are able to repeat this course or progress onto Intermediate Reptile Keeping and/or How to Create a Bio-Active Enclosure
