ASUP02 - Award in Safe Use of Pesticides - Ground Crop Sprayers (PA2)
Course Content
This one-day course is for the Award in Safe use of Pesticides Ground Crop Sprayers (PA2). This training course is designed for spray operators and pest control technicians who require a certificate for pesticide applications using a machine mounted boom sprayer (tractor, ATV).
The NPTC assessment will take place on a separate day; a time will be allocated to you during your training.
- Safety and routine maintenance
- Preparation for work
- Pump types and maintenance
- Field operation
- Checking and storage
- Cleaning and lubrication of sprayer
- Setting and calibration
Equipment
Candidates should bring wellingtons and spray overalls (minimum type 6 for chemicals).
Entry Requirments
Applicants must be 19 years or above to enrol on this course and have achieved the Foundation Module PA1.
