Beauty Therapy - Level 1
This course has been specifically designed to introduce you to practical beauty therapy skills and is an ideal progression route for further training. A fantastic stepping stone that will take you towards your chosen career.
Course Overview
This qualification will enable you to perform basic manicure and pedicure techniques, provide relaxing head massage treatments as well as cleansing, toning and moisturising treatments. You will learn how to give advice on skin care and basic day make-up application. To further enhance your skills you will also cover artistic and creative elements on your course such as nail art, themed face painting and photographic make-up.
The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy, giving you a good foundation for progression and learners will have their beauty therapy skills assessed in a real or realistic working environment.

Assessment
You will be assessed on a continuous basis within a realistic working environment. You will also be required to produce a portfolio of evidence to be certified by your assessors. Theoretical aspects of the programme will mainly be assessed through assignments and internal and external test papers. All full-time students are required to study English and maths at the appropriate level.

Entry Requirements
- GCSE passes at grade 2 (grade E) and above in English and maths
- Demonstrate a passion for the industry
- Subject to a successful interview
- Satisfactory reference

Aged 19 years or over (at the start of the course): Tuition Fee £995 | Registration/Exam Fee £100
Additional Course Cost: £195
Personal Equipment: You may also be expected to buy your own equipment costing approximately £130.
