County Training, as part of Herefordshire, Ludlow and North Shropshire College, are the largest training provider in Shropshire, operating from several bases across the county. We are a major provider of apprenticeships and work-based training, as well as adult learning programmes for the unemployed and those seeking to progress into further education or employment. We work closely with employers across the region, as well as other stakeholders such as local councils.
We are seeking an experienced teacher/lecturer to deliver a range of Computing & IT subjects to mainly part time IT apprenticeship cohorts and adults, studying for Computing and IT qualifications up to Level 3. Subjects covered will include Computer Systems, Programming Languages, Networking Fundamentals, Data Analysis and Design, Web Development and Databases. The postholder may also be required to deliver other IT User and Digital Literacy qualifications in response to demand.
As part of the role you will also be expected to carry out the associated organisational/administrative processes including preparation of work, marking and assessment, student welfare and counselling and to support and participate fully in the ongoing Departmental and college activities to achieve the College's key mission and objectives.
The post-holder will be based at our centre in Shrewsbury

The above role can be combined with our Computing & IT Work Based Learning Assessor (0.6 FTE) into a 1.0 FTE role for the right candidate.
