These posts are based at our Hereford Campus. Applicants will need to be a graduate, a qualified and experienced counsellor and have a teaching qualification.

The Counselling Department is a vibrant department in this highly successful Further Education College that works in partnership with the University of Worcester. The Counselling Department offers a series of counselling courses ranging from Level One (Introduction to Counselling Skills) to Foundation Degree in Counselling (Level Five). The BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling will run in 2023. These courses are very popular and the Department has built a successful reputation for delivering high quality counselling training. We want to continue and strengthen this tradition.

There is the opportunity for teaching on both the further education and higher education courses (with appropriate experience and qualifications). These posts are part-time so that practising therapists can have the opportunity to build their professional portfolio with a role in counselling training, with the chance to maintain a high standard for future of this profession.

We want to appoint dynamic, innovative and student-centred lecturers who can work closely and collaboratively with the Counselling Team. The Department is well-resourced and the Team is mutually supportive, with an emphasis on sharing best practice and liaising over schemes of work.

We are looking for delivery of courses for both daytime and evening.

HLNSC is committed to equality of opportunity, safeguarding including the Prevent Duty and promoting the welfare of all learners and expects all members of staff to share this commitment.
