Lecturer/Course Tutor Engineering - Maths & Science


Position Details

As part of the continuing development and growth of our engineering provision at Herefordshire, Ludlow & North Shropshire College (HLNSC), we are seeking to appoint to the following post. 
This is a full-time teaching post, but a fractional post can be agreed to suit the right candidate. Salary up to £32,838 pro-rata, depending on qualifications and experience 
To deliver a range of subjects to mostly full time 16–19-year-old students, engineering apprentices and HNC/D students studying Engineering qualifications at Levels 2, 3 & 4. Subjects being sought include a broad range of applied maths and science topics such as calculus to solve engineering problems, algebraic and trigonometric mathematical methods, static and dynamic engineering systems, fluid engineering systems, electrical concepts and principles and properties of materials.  
All teaching will take place on our main Hereford campus. As part of the role, you will also be expected to carry out the associated organisational / administrative processes including preparation of work, marking and assessment, student welfare and counselling and to support and participate fully in the ongoing Faculty and College activities to achieve the College’s key mission and objectives. 
The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (minimum Level 4) and have relevant work / industrial experience within the engineering or manufacturing industry. Those without teaching experience, but willing to train towards, are welcome to apply.
