Wellbeing & Pastoral Mentor

22 hrs hours, term time only, 39-week position Salary scale 18-21 - Grade 4 £18,758 - £20,946 (Full time equivalent)

Post-split between Hereford and Ludlow Campuses as one role

or 2 separate roles would be considered

(Hereford – 10 hours per week/Ludlow – 12 hours per week)

The Safeguarding Team is looking for resilient Wellbeing & Pastoral Mentors to support the expansion of the current service. These posts are to support the work of the Safeguarding & Wellbeing Manager across the college. The post is key for the successful delivery of pastoral services for students.

This exciting position will mentor a caseload of students, providing a holistic wellbeing support service within the college environment. The role is key in supporting students to continuously seek to improve their safety, health and well-being, as well as their retention at College to achieve academic success. Working with college staff and partner agencies will be key aspects of the role.

The successful applicant must possess the drive, energy and enthusiasm for such a pivotal role and have experience of providing pastoral and welfare related services for with a range of client groups.

Total annual holiday entitlement of 38 days (rising to 43 after 5 years service) pro rata.
