Position Details

As part of the continuing development and growth of our engineering apprenticeship provision at Herefordshire, Ludlow & North Shropshire College (HLNSC), we are seeking to appoint to the following post;

WORK-BASED LEARNING ASSESSOR FOR ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING SECTOR APPRENTICESHIPS

Full Time - up to £31,514, depending on qualifications and experience

In addition, Employer pension contribution of up to £6,271 per year

Total annual holiday entitlement of 38 days (rising to 43 after 5 years service)

The post-holder will carry out progress reviews and workplace competency assessments, via site visits, for a caseload of mainly Level 3 Engineering & Manufacturing sector apprentices working for a range of public and private sector employers across the region.

As part of the role you will also be expected to carry out the associated organisational / administrative processes including recruitment and placement processes, quality monitoring and reporting, preparation of apprentices for End Point Assessment, and achievement claims.  You will also support and participate fully in the ongoing Faculty and College activities to achieve the College’s key mission and objectives.

The post-holder will be based at our campus in Hereford and the ideal candidate will be fully qualified (minimum Level 3) and have relevant work / industrial experience within the engineering or manufacturing industry. Those without an assessor qualification but willing to train towards, are welcome to apply.
