Relief Nursery Assistant

Salary: £10.06 per hour plus holiday pay (£11.70)

We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, and skilled practitioner for the position of relief nursery assistant at our Hereford Campus nursery.

Hours of work will be flexible between 8.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday when needed. 

You will hold the relevant level 2 qualification or above and assist the Nursery Manager in  maintaining a happy, healthy, safe and stimulating environment that is friendly and enjoyable for every child, whilst ensuring continuation of high quality pre-school provision.

Key duties will include supporting the delivery of the EYFS to help with children’s individual needs of various stages of learning and development and assisting permanent staff with the daily routines.

You may be required to help complete children’s observations and development forms for the children’s learning journals. Effective communication with the room supervisor and colleagues regarding all aspects of children’s care within whichever room you are based, ensuring all messages are communicated precisely and clearly with staff and parents.

You will be required to undertake mandatory paediatric first aid training and Safeguarding training and you will be supported with any further training to support your professional development.
