Students Receive Financial Reward
Emily Morris and Kate Waters have been awarded a financial scholarship in recognition of their sustained A grades throughout last year. Emily was in her second year of studying on the Foundation Degree in Learning Support here at HLC, and worked all throughout lockdown – so, despite having to juggle both work and studies, she still made amazing progress. Emily has now gone onto study the top up degree with the University of Worcester.
Kate, who is currently in her second year of the Foundation Degree in Learning Support with us at HLC, also maintained high grades throughout last year. During lockdown she had the task of home schooling her own children and continuing on with her studies. Both students have done exceptionally well to achieve such impressive results, whilst handling their other responsibilities.
The teaching staff here at Herefordshire & Ludlow College have also been complimented by the external examiner from the University’s exam board, for their commitment to virtual teaching throughout lockdown and their continued and sustained grades – with all students passing both first and second year of their degree.
