Herefordshire & Ludlow College is one of the county’s largest apprenticeships providers, offering over 38 different subject choices. You can see for yourself the developments of training in your sector and you can even tell us what areas you would like to see more of.

Take a tour of our state-of-the-art facilities at the Hereford Campus and take part in a FREE workshop seminar with 3 guest speakers.

Alastair Pratt, HR Tutor here at HLC, who will be discussing how to really engage with your staff, and improve staff motivation with ‘Motivating Millenials’.

National Apprenticeship Services (NAS) will be discussing ‘T Levels’, new courses coming in September 2020, which will follow GCSEs and be equivalent to three A Levels. T Levels will combine classroom theory, practical learning and a minimum 45 day industry placement to make sure students have real experience of the workplace.

Kate Wargen from Kidwells Solicitors will be discussing ‘Disabilities in the Workplace’, and the impacts this can have on HR.

There will also be plenty of hot drinks, breakfast pastries and bacon sandwiches to make sure you don’t go hungry. 

About the Speakers

Alistair Pratt is highly experienced in HR and has a background in mechanical engineering and social care. With over 20 years in the industry and also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), he has a wealth of experience teaching HR courses at the College for the past 5 years.

National Apprenticeship Service is part of the Education and Skills Funding Agency, their purpose is to help employers and citizens value apprenticeships. NAS offers free, impartial and expert advice to employers in every sector throughout England.

Kate Wargen is Kidwells Solicitors Practice Director. Established for over 10 years, Kidwells offers a wide variety of legal services, from indiviual and family law, to business and commercial, all delivered by specialist lawyers in their respective fields.
