HLC vs. Hereford Sixth Form College (29/01/2020)
Another successful week for the Football Academy, after another slow start to the game. We conceded after 25minutes, before equalising 5minutes before half time. Luckily, this goal was the turning point in the game and we began the second half a lot brighter. We took a 2-1 lead 5 minutes into the second half. We continued to improve and gained a control of the game and ran out 3-1 winners. Although it was not the best performance from the team, it secures another victory and 3 points. Goalscorers Bisesnio Kamilo x2, Xavier Kostuch x1.
HLC vs. Halesowen - Away Game (05/02/2020)
Football academy continue winning ways. Failed to convert chances In the first half despite dominating possession. Owen hitting the back of the net from a great cut back on the 15th minute, with the home side pulling back a leveller soon after. Hubert with a great strike making it 2-1 just before the half way mark. A strong start to the second half saw Hubert score a deserved second goal. A penalty saw Bisensio put the ball into the bottom corner making it 4-1. Another good performance from the side.
Herefordshire and Ludlow Ladies 1st Team vs. Dudley College's 2nd Team (05/02/2020)
It was a very competitive match with some excellent contested play throughout from both teams - the first two quarters being goal for goal. However, due to some fantastic shooting by player of the match Meg Harris (Public Services), Hereford were able to take the lead and win the match 31-28. Recognition for the defensive players Chloe Russell-Lugg and Molly Brooke (Sport) should also be given, who played against a very tough attacking side and were able to make some great turnovers to secure the win.
